Honors and Awards
Eleven Capture 2002 Business Week/Architectural Record Awards
Architect/client collaborations once again prove that
"good design is good business."

Eleven client/architect building teams illustrate the power of architectural design to meet strategic goals and took top honors in the 2002 Business Week/Architectural Record (BW/AR) Awards, given annually to organizations that prove "good design is good business." The winning collaborations showcase architects and their clients who, together, are creating the most innovative and successful facilities for organizations around the world.

The BW/AR Awards, now in its sixth year, is sponsored by the AIA in conjunction with Architectural Record and Business Week magazines. The awards were presented at an October 23 gala at the National Building Museum in the nation's capital.

"Architecture is a powerful driver in the transformation of any organization or community," said AIA President Gordon H. Chong, FAIA. "The 2002 award winners demonstrate this power, as the collaboration between architects and clients translated design into tangible performance improvements, including quantifiable metrics such as increased retention rates, revenue, brand awareness, and operational productivity. In addition, the honored winners exemplify the great impact architecture can have on both the physical renovation of an organization, but even more importantly, a cultural renovation."
