Summary: The AIA Contract Documents group’s Web seminar, Managing Your Digital Practice with New AIA Contract Documents, May 15, from 4–5:30 p.m. ET, can help AIA members get a handle on the two new, soon-to-be-released AIA digital practice documents, AIA Document C106™–2007, Digital Data Licensing Agreement and AIA Document E201™–2007, Digital Data a framework for making and documenting digital practice decisions for a project.


This advanced-level program will provide a thorough discussion of digital practice concerns and the AIA’s process for reaching a workable solution. The presenters will use hypothetical situations to demonstrate how the documents may be implemented to address various levels of sophistication and evolving project needs. The learning objectives for the Web seminar are to:

  • Analyze the rationale behind the need for flexible, yet binding, digital practice agreements
  • Identify the ways that digital practice documents can manage the expectations of project participants
  • Explore how to use a digital practice exhibit and keep it current throughout the project cycle.

Tuition for the Web seminar is $135 per site; one registration fee allows for group participation for colleagues in your office. The program provides 1.5 HSW LUs for AIA members.
