DMJM to Design University of Dubai Campus

His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice president and prime minister of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of Dubai, has approved the design and development of the new University of Dubai campus. Obaid Humaid Al Tayer, chair of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), will supervise and sponsor the project. DMJM Design has been awarded the master plan and design of the new university. The $136 million project, encompassing 3 million square feet, will accommodate nine university buildings totaling 450,000 square feet and will be completed in two phases to accommodate 10,000 students. DMJM’s master plan and design includes plans for future buildings.
