Proposed Firm-Size Standards Could Squeeze Small Practices Out of Federal Contracts
If the Small Business Administration goes through with proposed regulatory changes, 97 percent of architecture firms will be classified as small businesses. Faced with these proposed regulations that could force the smallest architecture firms to compete with much larger ones for federal contracts, the AIA Board of Directors unanimously adopted a resolution that opposes any change to the current size threshold.
