The convention planning committee invites you to share your knowledge and expertise with fellow practitioners and allied professionals as part of a special convention to address the changes occurring within the architectural profession and the implications on the future of practice.  We encourage industry leaders and forward-thinking professionals who are on the cutting edge of practice, management, technology, collaboration, research, training, and mentoring to submit proposals as we discuss trends that are changing the way architects practice.

The Call for Presentations for the AIA 2011 National Convention is now open and located on the National Convention page under Conferences and Events.

We encourage everyone to review the Call document carefully before submitting a proposal this year. The submission, review, and selection process has been revised significantly.

Design provides the foundation upon which every object and system is built. The design of a community or a building is an expression of aspirations, be they economic, cultural, social, or environmental.  Sustainable design expresses these aspirations in the context of environmental factors beyond the project's property line, with the intention to engage, restore, or enhance a region's ecosystem.
