Looking Ahead

The 2011 electronic version of the Journal will be online in September with four new articles submitted by academics, practitioners and the healthcare architectural community and selected by the Editorial Review Committee.

The 2011 hard copy version of the Journal publishing four different articles from a previous electronic version will be available at the HealthcareDesign11 fall conference at the Gaylord Opryland, Nashville, TN, November 13-16, 2011. View the 2010 online Journal.

Herman Miller Healthcare Scholarship - Last Chance to Apply!

Herman Miller for Healthcare will sponsor eight intern architects to attend HealthcareDesign11, the fall conference of the Center for Health Design/AIA Academy of Architecture for Health. The conference will be held at the Gaylord Opryland, Nashville, TN, November 13-16, 2011.

ASID Interior Design Research Grant Program

The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Foundation announces the second annual Interior Design Research Grant Program, “Transform,” which focuses on applied research in interior design and human behavior. The program will award up to three grants of up to $35,000 each. Research proposals from interior designers, scientists and educators on how interior design impacts human behavior and well-being are being accepted through Oct. 3, 2011. Healthcare 101/201 Healthcare 101/201 is a series of monthly, web-based seminars sponsored by the AIA Academy of Architecture for Health. On each first Tuesday of the month, nationally recognized experts will conduct a 90 minute web seminar tailored to healthcare professionals. The 101 seminars are an introductory series tailored for our emerging professionals audience, and 201 seminars build on top of the introductory series with a more in-depth presentation for persons at all experience levels.
