AIA Minnesota Celebrates 75 by Looking Forward

For 75 consecutive years, AIA Minnesota has held successful conventions, which continues this coming week, November 10-13 at the Minneapolis Convention Center. More than 1,500 people will be on hand to attend the programs and exhibit hall. AIA President-elect George H. Miller, FAIA, will give a special presentation, “2010 and Beyond,” highlighting directions of the future from the 2010-2015 AIA Strategic Plan, including collaboration, inclusiveness, service, excellence, and the determination that design matters.

“Geography has helped us maintain our consistently high member attendance,” says AIA Minnesota Executive Vice President Beverly Hauschild-Baron, Hon. AIA. “With 1,600 of our 2,200 members in the Twin Cities area, it eliminates the cost for overnight accommodations. Our members who work in the downtown area also find it convenient to come and go as they like to programs over the course of the four-day convention.” To see the full program description and register, visit the AIA Minnesota Web site.
