Throughout last year, AIA members have been sharing ideas about how to use the talent of this profession to advance a broad agenda that will enhance the quality of life of our communities and at the same time help jumpstart the economy, notes AIA President Marvin Malecha, FAIA. The unprecented collaboration has generated an ambitious advocacy campaign called “Rebuild and Renew.” The AIA’s plan is the only plan out there that embraces all the building types that architects design and is the only plan designed to put architects back to work on behalf of our communities. “As AIA members, we have a unique opportunity in having a say in how this nation’s short- and long-term future pans out,” Malecha says.
