  AIA Center for Building Science and Performance to Host Symposium on Building Commissioning
The members of the AIA Center for Building Science and Performance invite you to join them for the Vision 2009 Building Commissioning symposium on March 6 at AIA headquarters in Washington, D.C. The symposium will address a broad spectrum of issues involving commissioning as related to building science, including the application of commissioning as a quality process to all aspects of buildings. The goal is to view building quality in a holistic sense and apply scientific principles aiming at a steady improvement in building efficiency and effectiveness. The Committee on Design hopes to see you at the AIA 2009 National Convention and Design Exposition in San Francisco, April 30–May 2. They invite you to attend the COD-sponsored awards events:

  • E19 2009 Institute Honor Awards for Architecture (Thursday, April 30, 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m.)
  • E22 2009 AIA Architecture Firm Award (Thursday, April 30, 2–3:30 p.m.)
  • E51 2009 AIA Twenty-five Year Award (Saturday, May 2, 8:15–9:45 a.m.)
