[Nominations are due August 30.] They form a venerable list of who's who among buildings, from Rockefeller Center to Taliesin West to the Gateway Arch. The buildings chosen to receive the AIA Twenty-five Year Award distinguish themselves by their ability to withstand the test of time. They must have been completed 25 to 35 years ago and must be projects in the U.S. or abroad designed by an architect licensed in the U.S. Read on for nominations criteria. Full Story

The U.S. Department of Energy released six new guidebooks in a series of publications that aim to help school districts save money on utility bills by designing energy-efficient facilities compatible with specific regional climates. Full Story

Heads Up! Honor Award for Interiors Deadlines Draw Near
There still is time to submit entries for the Institute Honor Awards for Interiors program: Entry forms must be completed, submitted with the entry fee ($375/per entry for AIA members and $750 per/entry for nonmembers) and postmarked no later than August 16. All submission binders must be sent to the AIA Honors and Awards Department, 1735 New York Avenue, NW, Washington, DC, 20006-5292, Attention: Institute Honor Awards for Interior Architecture, and postmarked no later than September 13.
