Send a Video Message to President-elect Obama

Summary: By now, you know that President-elect Obama told Barbara Walters in a TV interview on November 26 that he wanted to become an architect and loves architecture. Although his early dreams went unrealized, let’s consider him our honorary Architect-in-Chief.

Now, with the Obama transition unfolding at an historic pace, we want you to help us speak with one voice about the important role that architects can play in helping him achieve his vision for addressing our nation’s pressing challenges.

Send us a short video clip of 30 seconds (or so), stating what you do and your wish for how President-elect Obama can harness the energy of architects to green our communities and green our economy. We’ll post it to the AIA YouTube channel.

Here’s how:

Begin your video with: “I’m (your name) and I think the most important action you can take as you begin your presidential term is (tell him what you think).

Close with: I’m a member of the American Institute of Architects and I am ready to stand with you to help design a healthier, more sustainable future for us all.
