Summary: AIA Contract Documents will host a Web seminar, “AIA’s BIM Protocol Exhibit and Newest IPD Documents” on November 19, 1:00 p.m.–2:30 p.m. ET.
In October 2008, the AIA introduced the BIM Protocol Exhibit, a new tool that helps manage the use of BIM across an entire project. In addition, the Institute introduced two new agreements for the Single Purpose Entity (SPE) family of Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) documents: the C196™–2008 Standard Form Agreement Between Single Purpose Entity and Owner for Integrated Project Delivery and the C197™–2008 Standard Form Agreement Between Single Purpose Entity and Non-Owner Member for Integrated Project Delivery. These new documents build on the AIA IPD agreements introduced in May 2008 and round out the AIA’s SPE family of documents. This presentation will review these important new documents and how they fit in with the Institute’s IPD family of agreements.

- Analyze the relationships covered by the AIA’s IPD agreements
- Explain how the AIA BIM Protocol Exhibit and IPD agreements support integrated project delivery principles.
