I work with the technical aspects of our practice, and I’ve seen some really interesting applications. I spent a little time in the Software Pavilion, but the most interesting things for me were spread out. We are interested in BIM, but in an exhibition setting it’s hard to get firm-specific details.

I saw some modular lighting—I’m familiar with their product, but I saw some new products that I think we can use. I also saw a green roof for my house. And I did like these plates I just found at the bookstore. I got one for me and one for my friend. I actually find this type of show difficult to navigate—because it’s just huge!

I’m not looking for anything specific, but I haven’t been to Boston in about 17 years, and I have colleagues here who have their own architectural practice, so there was a social aspect to it. The sustainability theme was attractive as well; affordability as well. From an education standpoint, there’s a lot for me to gain.
