CAE: It’s a Flat World After All

Fall conference in Helsinki takes place September 10-13
Globalization now affects every industry, as journalist Thomas L. Friedman illustrated in his best-selling The World Is Flat: A Brief History of the 21st Century. The AIA Committee on Architecture in Education invites you to attend the “Schools in a Flat World: Global Perspectives on Pedagogy and the Built Environment” conference in Helsinki, Finland, September 10–13. This international gathering of architects and other school building professionals will explore cutting-edge, globalized approaches to school design and project delivery through best practices and case studies from around the globe. Guided tours of Helsinki schools that follow a collaborative global model for their design and construction will also be part of the program. For more information, visit the CAE Web site.
