BSA Offers Scholarships to Young Professionals for 2008 AIA National Convention Travel, Registration
The AIA national convention is particularly enriched when young professionals participate, but many people just starting their careers find the cost of travel, registration, accommodations, and time away from work prohibitive. A new scholarship program conceived by the Boston Society of Architects and supported by the AIA assists young professionals who otherwise would not be able to attend. Travel scholarships of up to $500 may be awarded to 100 or more individuals through the BSA program, and individuals who receive travel scholarships also enjoy free convention registration through the AIA. Firms, schools, AIA chapters, and others supporting the participation of students and young professionals through direct travel assistance are listed as sponsors, as are companies contributing to the AIA Convention Young Professionals Scholarship Fund. Applications are due February 22. For details, including applications and sponsorship information, visit the BSA Web site. (Photo courtesy of the Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau.)
