The Institute for Executive and Professional Development—with the AIA Historic Resources Committee, National Housing and Rehabilitation Association, and National Conference of State Historic Preservation Officers—invite you to take part in the Annual National Historic Tax Credit Conference 2007, November 7–9 in Washington, D.C. This conference uniquely brings together building owners and nonprofits, State Historic Preservation Officers (SHPOs) and federal officials, developers, investors, syndicators, architects, attorneys, accountants, and historic consultants for three days of case studies, best practice sharing, expert-led roundtables, and a peek into the future, covering every facet of HTC transactions. Small Firms Symposium at Build Boston on November 14
This one-day conference, within the larger BSA Build Boston conference, is specifically designed for architects and designers who either run or work in small firms. The workshop will highlight effective communication, how to grow your practice, specifications for small projects, green design on a budget, selling value not services, how to reduce your exposure to risk, and legal issues for small firms. The day concludes with a celebration illustrating the benefits of artists and architects working together. Early registration discounts are in effect until October 19.
