Join the Committee on Design for “The Rejuvenation of American Cities on the Water” Conference in Minneapolis
Commensurate with this year's AIA 150 celebration, the AIA Committee on Design continues its focus for 2007: "The Rejuvenation of American Cities on the Water." The Committee on Design visits Minneapolis September 27–30 as the second study of urban design and architecture at the water's edge. The committee’s first exploration on this topic started in Miami this spring. Both cities experienced a boom in the early 20th century, a decline in the later part of the century, followed by a total renaissance at the start of the 21st century. Come experience the unique architectural expressions of the Minneapolis design community. Early registration closes July 13 ($445 per AIA member, compared to $495 from July 14–August 10; $545 August 11–September 7; and $635 on site). Register now or visit the Web site for more information.
