AIA members help Kansas town rebuild sustainably
After a devastating tornado in early May, AIA Kansas members are helping the town of Greensburg, Kan., rebuild with sustainability and green architecture as their top priority. At this early stage, the Kansas Design Team and Disaster Assessment Program have been gathering stakeholders and facilitating the decision making process. Those involved hope that Greensburg can become a nationwide model of green, rural development.

AIA Central Kentucky celebrates AIA150 with world-famous architect and building
The AIA Central Kentucky Chapter honored 1999 Gold Medal recipient Michael Graves, FAIA, on May 23 at an AIA150 event in Louisville that also celebrated the 25th anniversary of his landmark Humana Building, located on downtown Louisville’s Main Street. Humana ranks 98 on the AIA150 list of America’s Favorite Architecture, generated in April by an AIA-sponsored survey of the public.
Join the 2010 Imperative Discussion Forum
Remember the discussion started at The 2010 Imperative Global Emergency Teach-in back in March?
