United Cerebral Palsy Invites Nominations for Universal Accessibility Design Award
United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) is currently accepting nominations for its annual Universal Accessibility Design Award, recognizing an individual, business, government, or agency that has provided leadership developing a universally accessible environment by creating new tools or ideas for designing buildings, modifying the environment, enhancing independent living, or achieving a universally accessible environment. This award is open to architects and other designers, government advocates and employees, business and civic leaders, and others in positions to create new design standards, products, and tools to eliminate architectural barriers, enhance independent living, or achieve a universally accessible environment. The winning nomination will be honored at the 2007 UCP Annual Conference, “No Limits. Just Life,” April 12–14 in Orlando, Fla. Award criteria and nomination forms are available on the UCP Web site. The deadline for nominations is February 22.
