  Applications for 2007 Bruner Award Due December 18
Nominations for the 2007 Rudy Bruner Award—given to urban places that demonstrate the successful integration of effective process, meaningful values, and good design—are due December 18. The RBA awards one Gold Medal of $50,000 and four Silver Medals of $10,000 each to projects distinguished by their “social, economic, and contextual contributions to the urban environment.” Case studies of winners are published on line and in a book distributed by the Bruner Foundation. AIA Library Awards Entry Fees Due December 3; Submissions Due January 5

The AIA and the Library Administration and Management Association have created the biennial AIA/ALA Library Building Awards to encourage excellence in the architectural design and planning of libraries. All library buildings designed by architects licensed in the U.S. are eligible. Entry fees are due December 1, but will be accepted for some time after the deadline.
