DesignIntelligence Offers Future Trends Report

The editors of DesignIntelligence newletter are offering free, downloadble PDFs (4Mb) of the executive brief, Fifteen New Directions Sweeping the Design Professions, published earlier this year. The brief outlines issues such as globalization of the profession, the importance of design-build as a delivery method, the rise of BIM, the increasing difficulty of hiring talented staff, and the importance of strategic optimism. The report also contains thoughtful essays by architecture business leaders, including Editor James P. Cramer, Hon. AIA; Harold Adams, FAIA, RIBA, JIA, chair emeritus of RTKL; and Scott Simpson, FAIA, president and CEO of Stubbins Associates Inc. To sign up for the report, visit the trends Web site.
