The Faces of Change

The 72 attendees at the AIA Emerging Professionals Summit began to chart a new course for how to groom and develop the next generation of architects.

“Purpose, hope, resolve,” said Robert Ivy, FAIA, AIA Chief Executive Officer. “I want to underscore hope because there’s resolve behind it. We are going to act on education, licensure, career development, and firm culture because our young professionals demand change.”

“We are committed to improving the paths that our emerging professionals take, from the moment they set foot in architecture school,” said Helene Combs Dreiling, FAIA, 2014 AIA President. “This summit is about people, not process. It’s about empowering our emerging professionals to determine what’s working and what’s not.”
