Headline: The New Course to Your Education Destination

The AIA Continuing Education System (CES) has just launched AIA CES Discovery, an online system to help you more easily access and use your transcript, find the best courses, and generally make your professional education journey faster and easier.

AIA CES Discovery—your new go-to place for transcripts, credit tracking, and more—introduces these important changes:

  • A new way to sign in. Use your standard AIA.org user name and password instead of your AIA membership number—giving you greater control over the security of CES and personal information.
  • A new way to self-report. A simplified online form greatly streamlines self-reporting of learning units (LUs) from self-designed activities, professional community service, or structured programs of non-AIA/CES providers.
  • A new way to get support. CES support for members and components will be available from the AIA Member Care Center at 800-242-3837, option 3, or AIAMemberCareCES@aia.org.

Smooth Navigation

For AIA members, using the AIA CES Discovery system should require little adjustment. The site looks different from the previous University of Oklahoma AIA/CES site, but its clean design resembles the rest of AIA.org. Its intuitive navigation also helps you easily find the features you use most often:

1 Course Directory. Browse the full course catalog or customize your course search by topic, title, keywords, provider name or type, date range, geographical location, cost, course format, and LU credit type. See your options either as a list or in a calendar view.

2 Self-Reported Activities. The new software simplifies self-reporting of continuing education credits through an online form that guides you through the required information and automatically submits your report for AIA/CES review. Self-reported LUs appear on the same transcript as all other LUs.

2 Transcript. CES Discovery maintains on-demand access to transcripts, lets you customize the transcript by date range, and provides two printable-version options for state licensing boards. More good news: Credits will appear on your transcript within 24 hours after AIA/CES providers report your course completion.

2 Course Evaluation. Complete course evaluations online, too. The quick, easy form guides you through a few required text fields, standardized multiple-choice ratings, and optional feedback boxes. At the end, click "Close," and you’ve submitted your evaluation.

Start Discovering!

The links to the left provide a quick send-off on your AIA CES Discovery voyage. The continuing education field now requires the most effective, efficient, flexible solutions to meet AIA members’ complex, changing needs. As you use the AIA CES Discovery site, we hope you’ll find it a beneficial, easy-to-use tool for your professional development.
