Question
Does the AIA publish a form of construction agreement or general conditions specifically designed for use on a project owned by the federal government?
Answer
No, the AIA has retired A201™SC–1999, Federal Supplementary Conditions of the Contract for Construction. Different government agencies have their own requirements and you should check with the agency with whom you are working to see if they provide any supplement or guide.
AIA Document B108™–2009, Standard Form of Agreement Between Owner and Architect for a Federally Funded or Federally Insured Project, contains terms and conditions that are unique to federally funded or federally insured projects.
