Learn how buildings and cities were destroyed and how damages in the area are being mapped, recorded, and managed. Architects from around the world are helping in the effort. As a result, new ideas are emerging to better resist earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, and floods. Mr. Ryota is a Japanese freelance journalist specializing in BIM and Construction. Prior to freelancing, he was an editor of Japan’s leading website for the AEC industry, KEN-Platz and Nikkei Construction Magazine for twenty years. He will be speaking about building a new vision beyond disasters, specifically, how his work involves bringing together disparate information for emerging housing, energy, and regional opportunities in Japan.
