Reflections en Route Home from the AIA Women's Leadership Summit
By Mary Ann Lazarus, FAIA, LEED AP BD+C
I’m on the way back from the 5th biennial AIA Women’s Leadership Summit (WLS) held this year in Seattle. This was a sold-out event of 300+ architects from all across the country who represent women in all stages of their careers and career paths. It was an inspirational and motivational occasion for all. The event started with a look at the data of women and people of color in our profession, with a preview of the AIA’s new Diversity Survey results.

Save the Date! AIA 2030 Report Release
The AIA is celebrating the launch of the 2030 Commitment’s annual progress report by hosting a report release event on Wednesday, October 21 in partnership with COTEdc and SmithGroupJJR’s Washington, DC office. However, we recognize that the success of the 2030 Commitment program stems from the work of local networks. In an effort to highlight those efforts, we’re teaming with local COTE networks to put on additional regional events nationwide. Watch for information about events in a city near you!
