Thursday, October 15
How to Be an Effective Partner in a Contractor
Led Entity: Learning Opportunities for Architects
Time: 2–3:30 p.m. EST
In previous sessions this year and last, the
AIA Design-Build Knowledge Community focused
on architect-led design-build. In reality, the majority of design-build
projects in the U.S. are contractor-led. This session explores how
an architect can be an effective partner in a contractor-led entity
and how the architect can turn this experience into a learning opportunity,
better equipping the architectural firm to take the lead on subsequent
projects. The session offers 1.5 LUs.
Tuesday, November 17
How to Make In-Roads into Government
Design-Build Projects
Time: 2–3:30 p.m. EST
The last segment of the 2009 Design-Build Web Seminar series, this
session will highlight the challenges, the solutions and the successes
of Government Design-Build projects. Through case examples and references
from the experiences of providers and government users of design-build
services, learn how Design-Build plays a role in the government sector.
The session offers 1.5 LUs.
