Learn About Universal Design Through This January 28 Webinar
The “Beyond the ADA: Universal Design and Accessibility for Residences” Web seminar—to take place January 28 at 2:00 p.m. ET, addresses an ever-growing problem: the urgent need for accessible housing. Statistics show future trends will require us to provide design strategies beyond the basic ADA requirements and renovate the existing housing stock. Danise Levine, AIA, of the University of Buffalo IDEA Inclusive Design and Environmental Access (IDEA) Center and Laura Montllor, AIA, of the nonprofit HomeFreeHome.org will explain the principles of Universal Design, illustrate how effective accessibility solutions can be easily implemented, provide practical design guidelines, and present information on new technology and products. After registering to host this event, you can invite as many colleagues and architects as you want to share in this live meeting with you. All attendees will be eligible to receive 1.5 HSW LUs. For more information or to sign up, visit the Webinar Web site.
