Summary: Nominations are due on October 10 for the AIA’s Institute Honors for Professional Achievement awards, which include: Associates Award, Collaborative Achievement Award, Edward C. Kemper Award, Thomas Jefferson Awards for Public Architecture, Whitney M. Young Jr. Award, and Young Architects Award.

• Associates Award, given to individual associate AIA members who best exemplify the highest qualities of leadership and have demonstrated an unparalleled commitment to their component or region's membership, in the community, in professional organizations, and/or in the design and construction industries.
• Collaborative Achievement Award, recognizing and encouraging distinguished achievements of allied professionals, clients, organizations, architect teams, knowledge communities, and others who have had a beneficial influence on or advanced the architecture profession
• Edward C. Kemper Award, conferred on an architect member who has contributed significantly to the profession through service to the Institute
• Thomas Jefferson Awards for Public Architecture recognizing achievements in the three categories: private-sector architects who have established a portfolio of accomplishment in the design of architecturally distinguished public facilities, public-sector architects who manage or produce quality design within their agencies, and public officials or other individuals who by their role of advocacy have furthered the public's awareness and/or appreciation of design excellence
• Whitney M. Young Jr. Award, presented to an architect or architecturally oriented organization in recognition of a significant contribution toward meeting social responsibility
• Young Architects Award, given to individuals who have shown exceptional leadership and made significant contributions to the profession in an early stage of their architecture career.
