  Missing Media Credit?
Negotiate an agreement before they publish your work

Many firms complain about the print media publishing images, both photographs and renderings of projects, without giving appropriate credit for the photos or renderings. Alerting the reporter or publisher after the fact often proves to be futile, so a better strategy is to reach an agreement up front. The matter primarily involves copyright law, which provides a direct means for an architecture firm to protect its own interests.

The Users Guide: The AIA’s Knowledge Communities
A singular experience for every single member
The AIA’s selection of knowledge communities offers example one of how AIA membership is not a one-size-fits-all proposition. This range of interest groups gives members access to 20 practice- and design-based groups, such as the Committee on the Environment (COTE), integrated project delivery, regional and urban design, religious architecture, and technology in practice. You may not get to choose your local chapter, but any member can choose to belong to as many knowledge communities as they want to—for free.
