Entries Due April 16 for the AIA London/UK 2008 Excellence in Design Awards Program
The AIA London/UK chapter is pleased to announce the 2008 Excellence in Design Awards Program, marking more than 10 years of the chapter’s recognition of new built projects in the UK and conferring recognition of trans-Atlantic efforts in design. Entries are sought from architects based in Britain and from architects throughout the world for built projects in the UK. In past years, this broad mix has resulted in winning projects from, among others, DeRijke Marsh Morgan, Foster & Partners, Rick Mather, Zaha Hadid, Allford Hall Monaghan Morris, Sauerbruch Hutton, Will Alsop, and David Chipperfield. In parallel with the professional awards, the chapter recognizes future talent through the Noel Hill Student Travel Awards Program. Entries are sought from students currently enrolled in UK universities for a portfolio of their work and a proposal for study/travel experience abroad. For more information on the program, visit AIA London/UK’s Web site.
