AIA Members Run for Seats on the USGBC Board

Summary: The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) announced its list of candidates for seats on the council’s 2008 board of directors on October 1, and a number of AIA members are running for office. The USGBC board has one open seat in each of four categories: at-large director, building product manufacturers, contractors/builders, and state and local government.

The USGBC’s voting process is online and open from October 3–November 2. The council encourages all members to cast a vote for the 2008 Board of Directors. Any individual employed by a USGBC member firm (”organization”) may cast a proportional share of his or her firm’s vote. (To access the election ballot, you will need to create a site user account on the USGBC Web site and make sure it includes your firm’s corporate ID number. If you don’t already have a site user account, visit www.usgbc.org and click on “Your Account” to create one.)
