AIA Hampton Roads Sponsors Affordable Housing Competition
Registration due June 16; entries,

AIA Hampton Roads, Habitat for Humanity South Hampton Roads, and the Town of Smithfield, Va., are jointly sponsoring the “Affordable Sustainable Workforce Housing Design Competition,” an innovation-based design competition for affordable, sustainable workforce housing. Ideally, this initiative will provide ideas and solutions for broader national application, while specifically providing solutions for low-income replacement housing in Smithfield. The Future of Professional Practice: The Next Generation of Integrated Delivery, Emerging Technology, and Practice Management

The AIA Practice Management and Technology in Architectural Practice knowledge communities invite you to share your knowledge and expertise with fellow practitioners and allied professionals as part of a special conference on the future of architecture practice, to be held December 2–4 in Washington, D.C. Proposal forms are due May 31; acceptance will be sent July 13. The groups seek speakers for provocative presentations and discussion sessions from a wide range of perspective on topics that can include: Business models and organizational structures, digital collaboration and BIM best practices, integrated practice and delivery, project management tools and technologies, and small practices.
