  Decode the New Guidelines for Healthcare Facilities
New Webinar on April 5 helps you unlock the new structure
Join Kurt Rockstroh, AIA, ACHA, of the Health Guidelines Revision Committee steering group, as he reviews the new organization of the Guidelines for Design and Construction of Health Care Facilities and a Webinar presented April 5, 12:30–2 p.m. ET. Participants will gain an overview of how the new Guidelines morphed from 15 chapters in the 2001 edition into only four sections in the 2006 edition, with clear instructions on how to use the new format to access the appropriate design information. Rockstroh also will share answers to frequently asked questions. The Webinar is available for $195 per location and offers 1.5 AIA/CES learning units. CAFM Scholarship Applications Due April 13
The Corporate Architects and Facility Management (CAFM) Knowledge Community, a partnership of owners and architects working for or within corporations or other client organizations, introduced a new scholarship program this year to foster interest in alternative careers such as facility management. This scholarship is open to students currently enrolled in an architecture program and can be applied to a new academic year beginning in September 2007. Scholarship amounts vary and range typically from $1,000 to $2,500. Deadline for submission is April 13. Visit the CAFM Web site for details.
