AIA Palomar Is the Newest AIA Chapter
The Institute has granted a charter for AIA Palomar, a new chapter to serve North San Diego County. This new chapter formally was a section of the AIA San Diego chapter for more than 20 years. AIA Palomar will serve the needs of architects who work and/or live in North San Diego County from Del Mar to the Anza Borrego area and north to the Riverside/Orange County line. In addition to offering its members a collective voice to integrate with the many municipal agencies, as well as the County of San Diego, the chapter will establish communication with Palomar College, Mira Costa College, and other institutions with architecture programs to promote awareness and interest in the architectural profession. To contact the chapter, e-mail President Michele McLain, AIA, or call 760-743-1955. AIA Palomar’s Web site is under construction.
