You Don’t Write, You Don’t Call . . .
. . . you don’t blog, you don’t poll . . .

One of the clear mandates gleaned from the AIA’s communications survey this year was that members wanted AIArchitect to be more interactive. To that end, we added a poll and a blog in the right-hand column of the redesigned publication. We’re hoping you will give them a try.

Starting next week, the blog will operate with new software that makes it very easy to add your comments and share a dialog with your colleagues. And although the poll is not statistically valid, it does present a snapshot into what members are thinking, allowing us to serve you better. Also starting this week, you will be able to see the final results of all past polls, just for fun. So, vote already!

Quick Links
Answer this week‘s poll.

View results of all past polls.

And another thing: Some readers requested one-paragraph synopses of articles, like we used to do in the old AIArchitect format.

  • On the front page, go to any of the silver bars—“News Headlines,” Practice,” “Business,” or “Design”—and click on the arrow. Voila! Stories in that zone are synopsized. Or . . .
  • Look to the top right of any story page and you will see links to the synopses under the heading “This Week at a Glance.”

You can reach any story from its synopsis page or from the front page. Give it a try and tell us what you think.
