Have You Completed Your Member Census? | ||||
The AIA is conducting a Member Census in support of “To Strengthen the Demographic Diversity of the Design Profession,” a resolution approved by members at the 2004 Annual Convention in Chicago. Among other items, the measure called for the Institute to collaborate with related architectural organizations and support research initiatives and ongoing data collection that will lead the profession to a better understanding of who enters the profession and why. The findings of this report and other studies conducted will be used to inform future diversity initiatives. A Member Census form was included in your 2006 annual membership renewal notice. If you have not done so already, please complete your Census form online on AIA.org. Scroll down the homepage to Highlights and click on Member Census. You will be asked to enter your member id number. Please note that the information you provide in response to the Census will be handled with complete confidentiality and is for internal AIA purposes only to prepare a profile of the AIA membership relative to the architecture profession. The information provided by members will be aggregated and reported only in combined data included in the profile. The AIA will not use the information you provide for marketing purposes, nor will it be used for any other reason except as stated above. We appreciate your participation in Member Census. Contact Carol Madden, managing director of Membership Services, cmadden@aia.org or 202-626-7392 for information relating to the census. Copyright 2006 The American Institute of Architects.
