4/2006

FOR FIRST VICE PRESIDENT/PRESIDENT ELECT
John Senhauser, FAIA

Please join me in supporting these priorities:

Civic leadership: Project a stronger public presence that takes responsibility for the quality and character of the 21st-century environment, especially our public spaces; ensure a just and accessible environment for our children’s children and their children’s children; provide unwavering leadership in sustainability, energy conservation, healthy communities, and enlightened regional design.

Collaborative vision: Explore new forms of project delivery that generate knowledge, create markets, and deliver greater value to our clients; foster new research initiatives that sharpen our competitiveness and strengthen our effectiveness and influence—local action, global perspective.

Institutional integrity: Engage diverse communities in the goals and aspirations of our profession; shape policies that nurture the next generation of practitioners and multiply opportunities for our membership; deepen our commitment to equity, access, and an ethical, knowledge-based, evidence-driven profession.

These are the ideas I believe can best guide the changes we face in the years ahead. My aim is to maintain our sound fiscal management at the same time we explore programs that expand and extend opportunities for continued prosperity.

I’m honored to be your candidate for 2008 president. I share your loyalty to practice, your passion for design, your faith in service, and your devotion to this profession. I offer you my experience and my undivided commitment.
