John
Senhauser, FAIA, was elected secretary at the AIA national convention
in Chicago June 11. Senhauser’s two-year term will run from 2005-2006.
Senhauser is the owner of John C. Senhauser Architects, the 1999 recipient
of AIA Ohio’s Gold Medal Firm Award. Senhauser has served on the
AIA National Board of Directors, the Gold Medal/Firm Award Nominations
Committee and the Advisory Jury, which he chaired in 2003. He has been
the president of AIA Ohio and AIA Cincinnati and has taken on many other
leadership positions at the state and local components and on 35 design
award juries. In his community, he is chair of the Cincinnati Historic
Conservation Board and a member of the Urban Design Review Board and the
University of Cincinnati Design Review Committee. He received the Architectural
Foundation of Cincinnati’s Apple Award for contributions to the
built environment in 1995.
