The
AIA Government Advocacy Team will sponsor a special Political Campaign
Training Seminar for AIA members and guests who are considering running
for public office or assisting a candidate. The seminar will take place
in Chicago, Wednesday, June 9, 1–6 p.m., the day before the AIA
National Convention officially kicks off.
AIA Government Advocacy Team Vice President Ron Faucheux will conduct
the program, which will cover:
- Deciding whether to run—looking at all the political and personal
factors
- The first 25 steps every smart candidate must take (from setting up
a campaign organization to announcing your candidacy)
- Developing a campaign message—how to position your candidacy
the right way
- Political fundraising—knowing how much money you’ll need,
and how to get it.
The seminar is free for AIA members and guests, who must register by
May 17. (If there are not enough registrants, the program will be cancelled.)
To register, contact Judy Ditton, jditton@aia.org
or 202-626-7515.
