Beyond Intuition? |

The Academy of Neuroscience for Architecture, Dana Alliance for Brain Initiatives, Society for Neuroscience, and the American Association for the Advancement of Science, in cooperation with The American Institute of Architects, are co-hosting a screening of the film Beyond Intuition, 6–7:30 p.m., December 3, at the American Association for the Advancement of Science Auditorium, in the nation’s capital. This provocative 25-minute film proposes that as evidence increases at a geometric rate to indicate that the brain relates directly to its environment and is stimulated by enhanced environments, there is equally increasing reason to study the ways in which architecture provides the enhanced environments that the mind craves. A panel discussion with some of the theorists and researchers most committed to that premise will immediately follow the screening. The panel will include:
