Learn “How to Influence” via eClassroom
Special 50 percent discount during October

The AIA eClassroom distance learning program is offering a course by Steven Ehrlich, FAIA, at a 50 percent discount throughout October. “Influences: People and Place,” identifies and explains opportunities to incorporate selected cultures into design. Ehrlich is principal of Steven Ehrlich Architects, a Los Angeles firm internationally recognized for its distinctive public and residential designs that extend Los Angeles's tradition of architectural innovation, fusing technology with cultural and environmental sensitivity.

The incorporation of culture and nature into building design, and the creation of human spaces for public interaction and private response, are examples of harmonious, balanced architecture. Based on Ehrlich’s extensive travel around the world, this seminar allows you to:

  • Learn how to retain simplicity and harmony in Modern architecture by integrating culture and nature into building design
  • Explore how knowledge of other places can help you design better buildings
  • Research a broad range of global cultures and places
  • Understand how technology can be both culturally responsive and environmentally sensitive.

During October, the course is available for $37.48 for AIA members, and $59.48 for nonmembers.
