North American Construction Forecast Offers 2004 Trends
October 15 conference will feature government and private-industry experts

 

Reed Construction Data’s October 15 conference in Washington, D.C., will feature industry-leading economists and analysts from the U.S., Canada, and Mexico who will discuss construction activity and opportunity throughout the North American Fair Trade Agreement region in 2004 and beyond. Speakers will provide a sector-by-sector analysis along with economic indicators designed to guide annual marketing, budgeting, and planning strategies for the construction industry.

Speakers include:

  • Gene Sperling, former national economic advisor and director of the National Economic Council, 1996–2000
  • Richard Farson, author, Management of the Absurd
  • Edward Sullivan, chief economist, Portland Cement Association
  • Roger Grant, vice president, product management, R.S. Means
  • Ray Owens, PhD, vice president and senior economist, Federal Reserve Bank
  • David Seiders, chief economist, National Association of Home Builders
  • Glenn Mueller, PhD, managing director, Legg Mason, Inc., and professor, Johns Hopkins University Real Estate Institute.

In addition, Jim Cramer, Hon. AIA, chair and CEO of The Greenway Group Inc. and editor of DesignIntelligence, will moderate a panel discussion of “What to Expect in 2004—Building Sector Strengths and Weaknesses,” which will feature:
