Use Your Brain!
Put Some Proof Into Your Poetry at Convention
Slated seminars plus some schedule changes offer new opportunities
May 8–10 in San Diego

Architecture and Neuroscience: A Basic Introduction to the Science and Its Potential Application (Seminar FR38, Friday, May 9, 2–3:30 p.m., San Diego Convention Center, Room 10) is just one of the fascinating learning opportunities available at the AIA convention this year. It’s an exciting component of the “proof” portion of the “poetry + proof” theme driving this year’s convention. Noted researcher and architect John P. Eberhard, FAIA, will offer you an understanding of the key concepts and vocabulary of neuroscience and introduce you to a whole new set of professional tools. In addition, you’ll be one of the first to view “Beyond Intuition,” the new video detailing the meetings of the minds in architecture and neuroscience and the discovery that the two fields have much shared ground to explore. (“Beyond Intuition” will be distributed to AIA chapters following the convention.)

Following are the schedule changes offering other special topics to cover.
