Report Your AIA/CES by the End of the Year

To meet your AIA Continuing Education System requirement, you must have reported your 18 total learning-unit hours (8 of which are required in health, safety, and welfare topics) to the University of Oklahoma by December 31.

The following states also have mandatory continuing education reporting due by December 31: Louisiana, Nebraska, North Carolina, Vermont, and Wyoming. The states that require proof of mandatory continuing education at the time of licensure renewal are New Mexico, New York, South Dakota, and Tennessee. The Canadian provinces with a December 31 reporting deadline are British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Ontario, and Saskatchewan.

Georgia, Illinois, and Rhode Island have just instituted a continuing education requirement for renewing an architecture license at the end of 2003. In Canada, the Northwest Territory and Quebec will require continuing education for renewal at the end of 2003.
