"The Architecture of Engagement: Civic Engagement and the Architectural Profession," the 2002 ACSA/AIA Teachers' Seminar, takes place July 1922 at the Cranbrook Academy of Art, Bloomfield Hills, Mich. Participants will engage in a series of presentations, symposia, conversations, and workshops designed to broaden and deepen an understanding of the role of the architect in society. The seminar aims to provoke consideration and discussion about leadership models for architects in the academy, community, political arena, and business world. This
conference will bring together educators and practitioners to address
the crucial intersection behind theory and practice, as they explore: Harris Steinberg, AIA, Steinberg and Stevens Architects (representing the AIA), and Maurice Cox, University of Virginia (representing ACSA), are the conference cochairs. ACSA/AIA Teachers' Seminar participants are eligible
for 18.5 AIA/CES learning units. Copyright 2002 The American Institute of Architects. All rights reserved. |
