Associates Experiment with Email Candidate Questionnaire

Next week, at the 2002 National Convention and Design Exposition in Charlotte, delegates will select the AIA's next national First Vice-President/President-Elect, Secretary and Vice Presidents. The candidates have shared their viewpoints on a number of occasions and in various venues, including the publication of issue statements in AIArchitect and at the AIA Grassroots and Legislative Conference this past March. Given the tremendous advances in immediate communication via the Internet and teleconferencing, we will be considering still other venues and protocols to help ensure that AIA members will have all they need to make an informed decision when selecting their national officers.

The National Associates Committee (NAC) posed an email questionnaire to this year's candidates for national office. The committee this week shared the results with its membership through its email newsletter. At the request of the NAC leadership, I offer you the unabridged responses to the NAC questionnaire.
