Convention
Two Tips for Convention Goers

Charlotte's Equitable Life Assurance Company Bank, a 1980 AIA Honor Award winner and pioneer structure in the use of energy-saving double-wall glass by Wolf Associates, is one of many fine buildings commissioned by Hugh McColl, former Bank of America CEO. Hear him speak at the AIA convention's general theme session on Friday, May 10.If you registered for the AIA national convention in Charlotte via email, typed in a personal planner to map your schedule, but didn't print it out-please do so by April 26! The electronic personal-planner function will only be available until then!

And when you get to the convention center, be sure to pick up your member packet at the registration desk. It contains your badge, convention information book, and a map that will show you the location of all the exhibitors' displays, many of which are outside the traditional expo hall this year.

A large number of loyal exhibitors (say thanks!—they keep convention costs down for AIA members) will be introducing you to the newest products and services available. Projections tell us that 16,000 people will be attending the convention from May 9 to 11, so plan on seeing many of your friends and colleagues and enjoying a great show in a beautiful southern city.
