ICC Member Forum to Be Broadcast Live on Internet

The International Code Council is using Internet technology to bring their upcoming hearings—and a two-hour forum on the status of the struggle for a single set of model construction codes—live to the world. The hearings are scheduled for April 8-19 at the Pittsburgh Radisson Hotel Green Tree. The forum will be Sunday morning, April 14, 8–10 EDT on the status of the merger of the three U.S. model code organizations. By January 2003, BOCA (Building Officials and Code Administrators), ICBO (International Conference of Building Officials) and SBCCI (Southern Building Code Congress International) expect to complete their merger, through which they are creating a single set of comprehensive, coordinated model construction codes for national and international use. To determine if your computer can receive the Webcasts, and to view the open forum and code development hearings, log on to the Web site.
