Non-Florida Resident with a License in the Sunshine State?
Consider taking the mandatory Florida Building Code Seminar
At the AIA convention

All registered design professionals with licenses in the State of Florida must now complete a four-hour core curriculum relating to the Florida Building Code and its administration and enforcement no later than June 1, 2003. AIA Florida is offering two courses at the AIA national convention, May 9 to 11, each of which provides a good opportunity for nonresident Florida licensees to fulfill this state mandate.

AIA Florida will offer two seminars on the Florida Building Code as continuing education options on Wednesday, May 8, at the Charlotte Adams Mark Hotel. The morning session will address structural aspects of the code, while the afternoon session concerns fire safety. Attending either of the sessions will earn four AIA/CES LUs (participation in both will earn eight LUs). Both courses will fulfill continuing education for the AIA as well as the State of Florida for licensure.

A brochure with registration application for the courses is available in pdf format at www.aiafla.org (Click on the Winter/Spring Codes Seminar logo on the top left of the opening screen). If you have questions or need additional information, contact Eileen Johnson, AIA Florida, 850-222-7590.
